Adeline was born and raised in a small country-side town of Echeon where technology isn’t exactly up to par with the rest of the world. She was raised in the ways of knighthood by her parents, her mother a Aegislash and her father a Ferrothorn. Her father was a knight, just like his father had been-- and his father before him. Coming from a long line of knights she was expected to follow the tradition, despite being a girl. As the only child of her parents she was to be taught her values and morals just the same as the sons of the family before her had. Their family does not specifically work for one person but instead lives to protect their own name and traditions. They value the old way of life and want to keep it sacred, thus she comes off as a bit-old fashioned to others.

She grew up as a page, apprenticing under her father  and being home schooled by her mother until she was thirteen. On her thirteenth birthday she graduated to squire, still having to be home schooled by mom but now able to go out and explore without trailing behind her father. She began to venture out of her small town, her journeys fueled by the imagination of the books she so often loved to read. She dreamed of traveling the world to protect what she believed in and eventually finding someone for her to fall deeply in love with.

However, she soon found that all was not as happy as the books she read. Her father became ill when she was sixteen and the small town they lived in could not care for him properly. She left in search of a town with new medicine, knowing that technology had come far enough to save him. Yet, by the time she had returned he had already passed. It was just her and her mother now. She continued her training, now the only fighter left of the family. When she was twenty one she became a full-fledged knight and vowed to uphold the values her father had lived by. She inherited her father’s shield and with a scarf from her mother set out to explore the world.

She currently still lives with her mother although she often travels around while exploring. She goes on long year-long trips in a search for knowledge since she wishes to understand the world beyond her small town. She travels lightly, just the necessities and perhaps a few books, and can often be seen reading or training at her various campsites.
